The Effect of One’s Profits

In any beginning business, there are two possible outcomes, a positive profit or a negative profit. As it may be evident, the positive profit pertains to gains and a negative profit pertains to losses. Any businessman who experiences positive profits will surely be happy about the bountiful outcome of their business. However, though this may look really good in the long run, this will soon change in the long run.

Take into consideration a business that experiences positive profits. Sooner or later, other businessmen will find out about his success and will follow him in the market. There will then be many firms in the market. This would mean that there would be more products produced for the consumption of the consumers. The consumers, finding more products to choose from will then disperse themselves on the many producers. The consumers of the first firm in the market will then significantly decrease and the therefore, it will experience a decrease in its profit (in comparison with his previous profit when he was the only producer). The profit will then decrease and decrease until the business suffer from zero profit. However, though this may look tragic, it is only normal for any business to experience zero profit in the long run. This profit would cover all the expenses the business needs to continue to survive.

This is the reality about business. There are many trials one might experience in sustaining an effective and productive business.
